Depending on your employer configuration, you may be able to participate in a fitness challenge based on your activities (exercise or steps).

This is a challenge your employer or FitLyfe has set up. Available activities for the fitness challenge are determined by how your admin has configured the platform.

Purpose: The purpose of the fitness challenge is to track your activities based on a defined activity level. With this challenge, you define your own activity level and then log activity each week.

To access this information, click on the green challenge widget within the main dashboard, as shown below.

Register for the Challenge

To get started, you will need register for the challenge. This can be done by completing the following steps:

Step 1: Click on Click Here to Register within the green challenge widget in the main dashboard.

Step 2: Select the team you will be joining in the first drop-down menu.

Step 3: Next, choose your activity level. For each level, you must log 10,000 steps or 30 minutes of exercise for the defined days per week. Three levels are available for the fitness challenge:

  • Beginner - 2 days a week
  • Intermediate - 4 days a week
  • Advanced - 6 days a week

You are able to log activities at your own pace and manage the challenge at your activity level. This allows the challenge to fit your lifestyle and current activity level.

For example, if you are athletic it may be set to Advanced and will log your activity 6 times per week. However, if you are not athletic, then the Beginner or Intermediate level can be chosen.

Step 4: Choose an award if there is one for the challenge. Awards displayed in this menu are configured by your admin.

Step 5: Click Save to finish the registration.

Viewing Fitness Challenge Progress

To view your fitness challenge progress, click on the header or another location of the green challenge widget within the main dashboard.

This will open the Fitness Challenge Dashboard, you will see the weekly messages, a progress map, available quick links, and your detailed activity log.

Every time you meet the goal of 10,000 steps or 30 minutes of exercise, then it is considered as qualified. Qualified activity is considered as a point that you can progress on in the challenge.

Note: Keep in mind that the points you earn throughout the challenges are not the same as the points you earn through the overall wellness program.

Depending on how everything has been set up, you will qualify after meeting the defined objective (number of minutes or steps).

For example, the goal may be 10,000 steps per day. If you take 10,000 steps then you qualify for the challenge. However, if you only take 8,000 steps then you do not qualify for the challenge on that day.

When it is not qualified, you will not be able to progress toward the next checkpoints. It will qualify when the remaining steps are met and advance the progress map accordingly.

The activity log will show if a record qualifies as well as the graph widget within the Fitness Challenge Dashboard. This widget displays the weekly goal along with all qualifying and non-qualifying activities in a graph view.

Qualified: Meeting the goals set for the challenge. For example, you need to meet 10,000 steps a day and you walked 10,000 steps, then the checkpoint is considered qualified.

Non Qualified: When your total steps is 7,000 and the goal is 10,000.
