Program Settings Purpose

The purpose of Program Settings is to configure each widget displayed on the main dashboard.

Program Settings Overview

Each widget will be displayed in the program settings as a tile. The color of the tile will match the color of the widget displayed on the main dashboard. Tiles displayed in the program settings are based on the program subscription.

Additionally there are two types of program widgets: Platform Internal and External Programs. Internal widgets represent data inside the system and external widgets are data outside of the system.

Two types of widgets displayed in the program settings:

  • Fixed - These widgets will always be displayed on the main dashboard.
  • Dynamic - These widgets will only be displayed if they have configured to be visible within the main dashboard.

A widget can contain three types of content as well: static content, dynamic content, and content-driven or user-data content.

Widget content may be organized by "all locations" or a specific location. A drop-down menu is provided in the configuration for each widget for viewing this information based on the selection.

A drop-down is provided within the main dashboard for selecting a location. Once selected, the dashboard will refresh to show content for that location within the widgets.

Accessing Program Settings

To access these settings, click on Admin > Settings. Displayed widgets within this program settings will depend on your program subscription. To view the widget details and make configuration changes, click on the tile in this screen.

Tabs used to configure each widget will vary depend on what one has been chosen in the Program Settings; however, the Properties Tab for each widget will have the same options.

Widget Properties Tab

Each widget will have a Properties Tab that may be viewed after clicking on the tile. The Properties Tab contains three fields that may be used to customize the widget.

  • Widget Title - This is the name of the widget and will be displayed at the top for the viewer.

  • Widget Visibility - This defines who will be able to view the widget in the main dashboard.

  • Tooltip - This information will be displayed when the viewer hovers their mouse over the Information Icon for the widget. It provides the viewer with more information about the widget.

The steps for making changes to each of these items are covered below this section of the page.

Troubleshooting FAQ

If content is defined as corporate-specific and location-specific, which will be visible to the user?

If content is defined as corporate-specific and location-specific, which will be visible to the user?

The location-specific content will be visible to the user before the corporate.

In order for the corporate-specific content to be visible, you will need to configure the status of the location-specific content to "inactive".
